Even for a seasoned player, it is tough to make a name amidst a squad which has celebrated names like Toni Kroos, Luka Modric, Casemiro, Isco and Marco Asensio, to name a few. Game time has been tough for him to come by, thus making a move to Anfield seem quite plausible. If reports are to be believed, the player himself is quite keen on completing the move this January.

He may be young but he needs to play more often to develop and hone his skills further. For that to happen, an exit from Santiago Bernabeu seems like the best option. The Reds are keen on adding a midfielder to their ranks this winter, even more so with reports suggesting that Emre Can could leave the club. Can has almost secured a move to Juventus.

Signing Ceballos could be a step in the right direction when it comes to repairing the damage of Can leaving us. Ceballos is young and boasts of tremendous potential. Also, as he has his heart set on joining us, there seems to be no reason to deter Jurgen Klopp from making a move.

Going forward, the challenges will only intensify as the battle for the Champions League spots heat up and to have an able midfielder like Ceballos could provide a much-needed boost.

Since Ceballos may not cost too much, it is likely that we may make a move for him. He would certainly provide depth. Also, once Can leaves us in the summer, the Real Madrid man could attempt to fill the void left behind by the German. Also, at 21 years of age, he seems like an exciting long-term option for the Reds to consider.
