Liverpool and a host of other clubs interested in Hakim Ziyech of Ajax have been warned by Roma legend Roberto Pruzzo, who says that the Moroccan is not consistent.
The former Roma player was quoted by The Express
as saying:“I would not waste my time on Ziyech. I love his game, but it goes in fits and starts.”
The 25-year-old Ziyech is currently with the national team as they take part in the World Cup and even played the entire game against Iran, which they lost 1-0.
The midfielder had a decent season with Ajax as he scored 9 goals and provided 15 assists for the side. The Moroccan has been linked with a move to Liverpool, Roma and even Everton.
It seems his agent Mustapha Nakhli is doing his bit to help his player move away from the Netherlands, as the report also claims that Nakhli had visited England in hopes of possibly sealing a switch for the 25-year-old.
Ziyech can play in a number of positions across the pitch and his versatility would be a great addition to any side. The Moroccan might not be the most consistent player but Jurgen Klopp has proven to us that he can improve most of the players under him.
The 25-year-old could be a cheap alternative to have too but there is always a risk when we sign players who are not accustomed to the English playing style.
Moving from the Netherlands to England does not always work out but we have seen Virgil van Dijk and Georginio Wijnaldum do really well since moving to the Premier League, so there might be hope for Ziyech too.
