Liverpool’s summer spending and summer sale values revealed – and the figures are quite shocking

Liverpool go into the international break leading the Premier League with four wins from four games. Chelsea are the other side with a 100% record but the Reds have looked slightly better, with a couple of new boys doing a decent job.

The Reds signed Alisson, Fabinho and Naby Keita for huge sums in the summer window and the Liverpool Echo has shared the figures of how much we made and spent in the transfer market.

The report claims that we paid £160.85million on new signings and we got £35.75million from sales. This means a net spend of £125.1million was guaranteed, as long as add-ons and other aspects of a deal are not taken into consideration.

The report adds that should we include the add-ons based on targets and appearances, our spending in the summer window would rise to £174.35million. We bought four players in the summer with Xherdan Shaqiri coming in on the cheapest deal for just £12.85m.

Our sale figure could rise to £45million, should Loris Karius make the move to Besiktas a permanent one, as per the report

.

Liverpool’s spending in the summer saw them sign Alisson for £56million which could rise to £64million, Keita for £52million and Fabinho for £40million, possibly rising to £44.5million.

If we include Shaqiri, the total comes to £160.85million but rises to £174.35million, including the add-ons.

Our sales include Danny Ings leaving for £18million which could become £20million once he signs permanently for Southampton, Danny Ward leaving for £12.5million, Karius for £2.25million rising to £9.5million if he joins Besiktas permanently, Ragnar Klavan for £2million and a £1million loan fee for Harry Wilson, as per the report.

The total sale comes out to £35.75million

with it possibly rising to £45million.

Liverpool might not have won the net spend war by spending close to £125.1million (rising to £129.35million) in the summer but if we end up winning a title, no one will complain.
