Liverpool and Manchester City played out a tense 0-0 draw at Anfield with few clear-cut chances. City were given a penalty in the 85th minute but Riyad Mahrez missed the target as the Reds escaped with a point.
The game wasn’t bad-tempered but there were a couple of tackles that caught the eye of the referee. Sergio Aguero was booked for a late challenge on Jordan Henderson but the official missed a forearm smash on Sadio Mane from Fernandinho.
Mane was left sprawling on the ground but was alright to continue for the rest of the clash. Surprisingly, the referee didn’t even give a free-kick and the Brazilian wasn’t booked for a number fouls in the game.
Suffice to say, this could have been a red card since the Brazilian raised his arm. As a result, a number of Liverpool fans were unhappy with the decision.
