Liverpool stars Virgil van Dijk and Joe Gomez have been impressive as a pair this season. The English defender has helped the Reds to an incredible start to the Premier League, and Van Dijk has possibly been the best defender in the competition too.
As the Reds sit pretty on top of the Premier League, the pair took part in a series called “Bezzies”. A Q+A round about each other and there were some hilarious responses.
It is great to see a fun relationship between the pair as one section saw the Dutch defender claim Gomez was “fat” when the youngster joined from Charlton Athletic.
The Dutch defender also got his partner’s debut position wrong. Gomez played as a left-back but Van Dijk believed he started as a right-back.
The former Southampton defender was a little critical of the questions to Gomez, as he felt his set of questions were tough.
Surprisingly, Van Dijk spoke about his starting position as a youngsters. The Dutch colossus played as a striker and even bagged a couple of goals.
Winning seems to be important to the former Saint as Gomez revealed that no one wants to be near the Dutchman when the team loses.
There was some banter involved too as Van Dijk claimed Gomez’s locker room was filled with a lot of cosmetic products.
Another fun revelation was finding out Gomez’s middle name. Van Dijk found out about it via his passport and hotel room, and laughed as he shouted out “Dave”.
The pair will be in the team once we play Arsenal on Saturday, and hopefully, they will bring their game faces and help us to a win.
