“I want to deny this information to the last energy” – Liverpool star posts on Facebook to deny marriage rumours

Georginio Wijnaldum and Sadio Mane celebrate a goal

Liverpool star Sadio Mane had to reject bizarre claims of his marriage via a social media post.

The Liverpool Echo reports that a tweet from the African Football website claimed Mane was getting married to a Tunisian on the 5th of January and wanted to rent out the Stade Olympic de Sousse in the Tunisian city of Sousse. This could have been a problem for the Reds as we play Wolverhampton Wanderers in the FA Cup on 7 January.

However, Mane posted a message on Facebook (h/t Liverpool Echo) where he shut down the rumours of his marriage:

“Dear all, it was with amazement and disambiguation that I had a supposed gala game that I should organize in Sousse, Tunisia, on the occasion of my wedding.

“I want to deny this information to the last energy. I have never heard from you, or I have not heard from you.

“I would like to know that it is not possible that this information is wrong and unfounded. Personally, I will be focused on my work and I would like to know that all documents do not engage me.”

It would have been pretty shocking if the Senegal star decided to get hitched during the busy festive period for the Reds.

The attacker is one of the most important players in the side and we need him as the Reds look to win a trophy under Jurgen Klopp.
