“Coutinho who?”, “Has replaced Coutinho” – Some Liverpool fans call out former star as new signing’s stats show who is better

Xherdan Shaqiri might have been the cheapest signing for Liverpool in the summer, but he certainly has come up big for us this season. The Reds sit on top of the Premier League with a six-point lead and Shaqiri came up trumps in the win over Manchester United.

The Alpine Messi scored a brace against the Red Devils while he also found the back of the net in the 4-0 win over Newcastle. The 27-year-old has scored six goals and provided a couple of assists from just eight starts in the Premier League, and some Liverpool fans started comparing him with Philippe Coutinho.

The Brazilian left the Reds for Barcelona after a lot of negotiations in the winter window but he hasn’t performed better than the Shaq in terms of goals.

Coutinho only has four goals and an assist in the Spanish league from nine starts, and that was enough for some fans to call out the former Red.
