Liverpool are interested in Adrien Rabiot but face competition from Arsenal, according to the Express. The Frenchman is a free agent at the end of the season and hasn’t finalised where he is going. The report adds that the 23-year-old will not sign a new deal with Paris Saint-Germain and Tottenham are also keeping tabs on the midfielder.

The report claims that Unai Emery believes he has the edge and managed the Frenchman during his spell at Paris, but finances seem to be a bit of a problem for the Gunners.

The Gunners signed Denis Suarez from Barcelona on loan and Rabiot could be a decent signing given the financial constraints at the club, according to the report.

The report adds that the 23-year-old will speak with other European clubs till the end of the season. Bayern Munich are also interested in the midfielder, and his playing time will be limited given that PSG also signed Leandro Paredes from Zenit Saint Petersburg.

Liverpool could do with someone like Rabiot in the side, and the Frenchman has the potential to improve in the coming years.

Jurgen Klopp didn’t sign anyone in the winter window but splashed a lot in the summer. The 23-year-old would provide a lot of competition for the midfield places at the club, and it will be interesting to see where Rabiot ends up next season.
