Latest Liverpool transfer news: Adam Lallana could be off if Reds sign Bruno Fernandes

The Mirror reports that Adam Lallana’s time at Anfield could be coming to an end if we sign Bruno Fernandes.

The report adds that the Sporting Lisbon star is one of the targets for the Reds in the summer, and the Portuguese club want to sell the midfielder.

Fernandes has been excellent for the side this season with 18 goals and eight assists in all competitions.

Lallana, for his part, has seen reduced playing time this season and has had fitness issues for the past two years.

The Englishman only has three Premier League starts to his name and doesn’t have a goal or an assist this season.

A return to the south coast awaits

The report adds that Southampton are interested in the 30-year-old Lallana.

Liverpool had signed the Englishman from the Saints a few years ago, and the deal could happen should Southampton avoid relegation this time around.

Lallana was one of the stars for Jurgen Klopp during the German’s first season at Liverpool, however, injuries have been the major problem for the Englishman.

The signings of Naby Keita and Fabinho have increased competition for the midfield slots. Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain is also close to a return, which could put Lallana further down the pecking order.

It will be interesting to see what happens with Lallana in the summer as he is one of the most technically gifted players in the team, however, his lack of form and injuries could see being sold by the Reds.
