The Mirror reports that Daniel Sturridge is likely to leave Liverpool as his contract is coming to an end.
The 29-year-old has made 14 substitute appearances in the Premier League this season with four more in the Champions League.
The former Chelsea and Manchester City striker has only started four games in those two competitions.
The English striker has three goals and two assists in all competitions, and the report claims that Leicester City were interested in the forward.
However, the Foxes’ interest in the 29-year-old is decreasing and they are looking at other targets.
The English striker is one of the best finishers when fit, however, he has spent a lot of time on the treatment table under Jurgen Klopp’s reign.
This season has been marginally better as the forward scored some important goals for the Reds.
The strikes against Paris Saint-Germain and Chelsea certainly will be remembered as part of an excellent season under the German manager.
Sturridge will also find it difficult to get regular starts thanks to the form of Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino.
The trio have been excellent this season too as they keep us in the race for the Premier League and Champions League.
Manchester City moved to the top of the table with their win over Manchester United, and we face Barcelona in the semi-finals of the Champions League next week.
