Jurgen Klopp has hinted that he is willing to spend in the transfer market to compete with rivals.
Liverpool spent big to sign Alisson, Virgil van Dijk, Naby Keita and Fabinho in recent transfer windows, however, the Express claims that a relatively quiet transfer window was expected from the Reds this season.
Liverpool don’t have too many weaknesses in the current side, but Klopp told German outlet ZDF that he was willing to spend to compete with the rivals (h/t Express
):“Liverpool is an ambitious club and if we didn’t spend the same amount of money as others, we wouldn’t be able to compete. Everybody’s splashing the cash, so we have to do the same.”
