The Liverpool Echo reports that the Reds have had no contact with Real Madrid regarding Sadio Mane.
Senegal FA head Saer Seck had claimed that Real had submitted a bid for Mane, and the forward should consider joining them.
The La Liga giants have already signed Eden Hazard, Luka Jovic and Eder Militao amongst other names, and Seck told the Mirror (h/t Liverpool Echo
) that Mane should think about the offer:“He alongside Mo Salah and Firmino are phenomenal. But this is football and he won the Champions League last season and he has the chance to go to Madrid.
“For me I think it’s the best club in the world, even if I am a Barcelona fan I still think Real is the best and Mane should be thinking of that offer seriously.”
Seck added that Mane was one of the top 10 players in the world but the career of a footballer is short.
The head believed that Zinedine Zidane likes Mane, and said the Senegal star would do well in another country too.
The report adds that Liverpool will not welcome any offers for the 27-year-old, who shared the Golden Boot in the Premier League last season with Mohamed Salah and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.
The Senegal star has improved with each season under Jurgen Klopp and should command a huge price if we are to sell him.
However, Seck’s comments seem to be a little out of place given that Mane is such an important member of the team. Liverpool won the Champions League last season and seem set to improve further under Klopp.
We missed out on the Premier League crown by one point, and there is no reason why we will not challenge for more silverware in the coming years.
