“You have to create a team” – Jurgen Klopp rules out move for world-class La Liga star

Liverpool FC transfer news: Klopp rules out move for Real Madrid’s Bale

Jurgen Klopp has denied that Liverpool will move for Real Madrid’s Gareth Bale.

The Welsh attacker is set to leave the La Liga giants this summer after falling out with manager Zinedine Zidane (h/t Sky Sports).

The attacker has been linked with a move to China and Sky Sports adds that Bale could remain in Europe if a club meets his high wages.

Paul Ince had earlier suggested that the Reds should sign Bale, however, Klopp confirmed that he was happy with his side and claimed that the Reds won’t move for the Welshman (h/t Sky Sports

):

“Bale is a Real Madrid player and if he leaves it will be outstandingly expensive and big wages.

“He is an outstanding player, I like him a lot but it is not about him. You have to create a team. A team is not a collection of the best individual players, they have to work together.”

The German spoke about the long-term project at Anfield and hinted that there could be some signings on the way, but also suggested that one has to be calm in certain situations:

“I didn’t say we won’t do anything, it is going to be a big window for sure but people don’t think about the people who are already in.

“Sometimes you have to calm the situation down, pay your bills, have a normal life and live in the house before you build a new one.”

Liverpool haven’t made any big moves this summer

The Premier League’s transfer window shuts in less than three weeks and the only signing Liverpool have made is that of Sepp van den Berg.

The 17-year-old made his debut in the 2-2 draw against Sporting Lisbon in the USA, and it will be interesting to see who else we sign before the window closes.

The Reds need cover for Andy Robertson, while a versatile attacker would be great too.
