Liverpool had to move quickly in August to sign an experienced keeper as cover for Alisson.
Simon Mignolet was sold to Club Brugge just before the start of the season, and we ended up signing former West Ham keeper Adrian.
The free-agent was training with a regional side before we swooped in for him.
The 32-year-old probably wasn’t expecting to play for us soon but ended up making his debut in the first game of the season when Alisson picked up an injury.
It has been a crazy month for Adrian since becoming a Red, and the Spaniard shared a perfect tweet encapsulating what had taken place in August.
The Spaniard has made some mistakes in his first few games at the club, like giving away a soft penalty in the UEFA Super Cup or the howler against Southampton.
However, Adrian has saved our skin several times too, and his best performance came at the weekend.
Burnley tried to crowd the box during corners but Adrian was great with his punches. The Spaniard also made some smart saves to keep the Clarets from scoring.
Adrian’s skills with the feet have also improved and he wasn’t wasting time when the ball was passed to him.
Alisson will replace the Spaniard once he returns to fitness, but we seem to have found a quality replacement for Mignolet, who seems to be improving with each game under his belt.
