“Have some shame”, “Terrible attitude”: Several Liverpool fans rip into youngster as summer move is done

Latest Liverpool transfer news: Duncan seals exit to Fiorentina and thanks club for development

Bobby Duncan’s time at Liverpool has come to a quick end after the striker joined Fiorentina permanently.

The 18-year-old’s agent, Saif Rubie, made some serious allegations against the club and Michael Edwards last week, and it was always going to be tough for Duncan to remain at the club.

Harry Wilson celebrates a goal with Adam Lallana and Bobby Duncan

The youngster scored 32 goals for us last season as we won the FA Youth Cup. Steven Gerrard’s cousin had joined us from Manchester City over a year ago and is now on the move again.

The striker had also formed a great partnership with Paul Glatzel, but that is a thing of the past now.

Duncan thanked Liverpool and the coaches for all their help, however, the fans weren’t ready to accept this.

Fans upset with the entire episode

Duncan could have had a great future at the club but his agent didn’t help the situation at all. A move to Fiorentina might not work for the 18-year-old and it will be interesting to see if things fall into place for the English striker.

Liverpool have seen several talents force a move away from the club and most of them barring Raheem Sterling haven’t done all that well since leaving Anfield.

Duncan could have been sent on loan next season had he kept progressing, but that is a moot point.

Many Liverpool fans were not happy with Duncan’s post on Twitter and here are some of the reactions.
