Alisson ready for Manchester United clash on Sunday

Liverpool have been handed a major injury boost ahead of Sunday. The Reds are away to Manchester United in the biggest game of the weekend, and Alisson is available for selection (h/t Guardian).

The Brazilian has been out of action since the first game of the campaign and was replaced by Adrian against Norwich.

Alisson injured his calf during the game and has been working hard on his rehab ever since. Adrian has done a stellar job in place of the Brazilian but the report claims that the Brazilian should retake his spot against the Red Devils.

Mohamed Salah, who picked up an ankle knock against Leicester City, is also expected to be fit for the weekend’s game (h/t Guardian).

Alisson provides more to Liverpool

Although Adrian has done a great job in place of the Brazilian, Alisson is better with the ball at his feet. The Brazilian’s distribution is miles ahead of Adrian’s and it will be interesting to see if Jurgen Klopp starts him on Sunday.

The former AS Roma man might be a bit rusty and this is one of the biggest games of the year. However, he is more than capable of putting up a matchwinning performance, and we have to be wary of the threat possessed by the home side.

United might be hovering above the relegation zone, but they will be up for this clash. We dropped crucial points at Old Trafford last season, but have been perfect so far this campaign.
