Liverpool to decide futures of Marko Grujic and Harry Wilson in the summer

Liverpool will take a call on the futures of two loan players in the summer, according to the Liverpool Echo’s Paul Gorst.

Marko Grujic and Harry Wilson are at Hertha Berlin and Bournemouth respectively, and have had some impressive performances this season.

Wilson did well with Derby last season, while Grujic also did a great job with Berlin last time around.

Gorst was taking part in a Q+A session for the Liverpool Echo

“I think it all depends on their respective loans. I’ve a feeling if Wilson continues catching the eye like he is currently there will be at least one fairly big offer on the table next summer, it will then be up to Klopp as to what happens next.

“I know during the summer Liverpool were privately looking for around £25m if they were to consider offloading the Wales international.”

The Liverpool Echo correspondent spoke about Grujic claiming that the “clock is ticking” on his career at Anfield. Gorst highlighted that the Serbian was signed in 2016 and hasn’t made too many appearances but “Liverpool will assess both in the summer.”

Liverpool should keep Grujic in the team

The Serbian has been impressive for two seasons and should he remain fit for the campaign, we should keep him in the team.

The 23-year-old still has time on his side to develop further and working under Jurgen Klopp should help. Liverpool could do with more options in the midfield given that Adam Lallana and James Milner are over 30.

Lallana has struggled for fitness in recent seasons while Milner can cover other positions.

Wilson is a tough call to make given that he will find it difficult to replace our wingers. The Welsh starlet needs to score regularly for the Cherries if he dreams about playing for us next season.
