“I am living the dream” – Liverpool star has claims he has absolutely no desire to leave Anfield

Trent Alexander-Arnold doesn’t want to leave Liverpool

Trent Alexander-Arnold has admitted that he cannot see himself leaving the club.

The Liverpool youngster came through the ranks at Anfield and has become one of the best right-backs in the world.

The 21-year-old is one of the best crossers in the Premier League and is deadly from the free-kick range too.

Jurgen Klopp has played a key role in Trent’s development and the Englishman has claimed that he doesn’t want to leave the Reds while speaking to BBC Radio 5 Live (h/t Mirror):

“I have always been a Liverpool player, Liverpool has always been my home. I have never thought about changing clubs.

“I always thought Liverpool was destined to be my club. When I grew up, the dream was always to play for Liverpool. Now I am living the dream and I can’t see that changing.”

Trent has no reason to leave the Reds, given our upward trajectory under Jurgen Klopp.

The Reds won the Champions League last season and could win more trophies in the coming years.

Trent wants to be the captain

Jordan Henderson is our current captain while James Milner and Virgil van Dijk are vice-captains.

However, Trent shared his desire to become the captain of the Reds but knew that the decision doesn’t rest on him:

“Whether it comes true or not is not up to me; I don’t pick who is captain.

“But that is something I would love to do one day. Captaining Liverpool is something I have always dreamed of and it is something that motivates me.”

Trent has several years left ahead of him and if he keeps impressing, the youngster will remain at Liverpool for a long time.

Jordan Henderson lifts the Champions League trophy

Liverpool have several captains with Andy Robertson, Van Dijk, Sadio Mane, Mohamed Salah and Henderson having led their respective national sides.

However, the Reds could do with a new captain in a few years and Alexander-Arnold could get a chance to lead his boyhood team out.
