Liverpool asked to pay £120million to land this 19-year-old target

Jadon Sancho

Liverpool need to pay £120million for England winger Jadon Sancho

Jadon Sancho has been excellent for Borussia Dortmund since joining them from Manchester City.

The 19-year-old scored 12 goals and provided 14 assists in the Bundesliga last season, and is a regular for the England national team too.

Sancho has three goals and five assists in the league this season and played the entire 90 in England’s 7-0 win over Montenegro recently too.

The Liverpool Echo claims that the Reds have been linked with the teenager while Manchester United are also interested.

Sancho also wants a move away from Dortmund and the Bundesliga giants are planning for his exit (h/t Liverpool Echo).

However, the winger won’t leave on the cheap and Bild claims that Dortmund want £120m for the 19-year-old (h/t Liverpool Echo).

Dortmund made a decent sum by selling Ousmane Dembele to Barcelona, but this fee would usurp the £96.8m the Catalans paid in 2017 (h/t Liverpool Echo).

Where will Sancho end up?

The winger has a lot of potential and will only improve in the coming years.

It is going to be an interesting summer for Dortmund and the winger. Liverpool are possibly the best in the Premier League and are the holders of the Champions League.

We are in a great position in the league too while Manchester United are struggling for consistent wins.

Moving to the Reds will offer him a chance at the top prizes, however, he faces immense competition for places thanks to the presence of Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane.

Dutch attacker linked with Liverpool to be handed new deal by Ligue 1 giants

Geoginio Wijnaldum & Memphis Depay

Lyon to offer Liverpool-linked Memphis Depay a new contract

Memphis Depay has done a great job at Lyon since joining them from Manchester United.

The 25-year-old has scored consistently for the Ligue 1 giants and is a permanent fixture in the Dutch national team too.

Depay has turned his career around after his struggles at Manchester United. He was signed from PSV Eindhoven but left after failing to make a mark at Old Trafford.

An older and more experienced Depay seems to be at his best and the 25-year-old has been linked with Liverpool (h/t Express).

Tottenham and United are also keen on the 25-year-old, however, Lyon are set to offer him a new deal (h/t Express).

The club’s president Jean Michel Aulas confirmed to BeIN Sports a new contract was one the way. However, Aulas added that Depay was still to make a decision on signing it (h/t Express):

“We will make him a contract extension offer because he is an exceptional player.

“He will be the one who will ultimately decide. He is a sweet boy, an interesting man.”

Do Liverpool need more attackers?

The Reds are in a great position in the Premier League and could do with another quality attacker coming in.

Mohamed Salah has had his injury problems this season while we would need to rest players due to our packed schedule.

However,Divock Origi and Xherdan Shaqiri were brought back in the team to face Everton. The pair were excellent in the 5-2 win with both getting on the score sheet.

Shaqiri could be the difference-maker for the remainder of the season. If the Swiss performs at his best we might not need to think of making any signings in January.

“There’s nothing to say” – Klopp plays it safe regarding links with 19-year-old winger

Jurgen Klopp

Jurgen Klopp plays it safe regarding Jadon Sancho links

Jurgen Klopp wasn’t giving out much regarding recent links with Borussia Dortmund winger Jadon Sancho.

The Englishman has been excellent in the Bundesliga since leaving Manchester City. However, the 19-year-old is said to be unhappy at Dortmund and was fined by the club after returning late in October (h/t Liverpool Echo).

Sancho has also been dropped from some big games and Liverpool have been linked with the teenager (h/t Liverpool Echo).

However, Klopp wasn’t getting drawn to these rumours and lauded the player (h/t Liverpool Echo):

“He’s a very good player.

“I have no clue where these kind of things are coming from, but it cannot come from us because we never speak about it.”

Klopp went on to say that if we were involved with the player, there would be no news of it. He also highlighted the possible price of the player but again, didn’t give too much away:

“If we would be involved, nobody would know about it apart from a person who wouldn’t speak about it. There’s nothing to say.

“Cost? That’s one issue, 100 per cent that would be an issue. But there’s nothing to say about it.

“I know how it sounds, but I cannot change that. There’s nothing to say about it, which can mean there’s absolutely nothing to say about it.”

Sancho starring for Dortmund

For all the problems with the Englishman, Sancho is still doing a decent job at Dortmund.

The winger has six goals and seven assists for Dortmund in all competitions. He has also played for the England national team in their recent Euro 2020 qualifying campaign.

Sancho would be an excellent addition for this Liverpool team. He would provide cover and competition for our wide men.

The U17 Germany forward is also being tracked by Barcelona while Arsenal are keeping tabs on him too (h/t Express).

Salzburg signed the youngster for €3.5million in the summer and would want close to €8m from the clubs interested in him (h/t Express).

Training with Salzburg

The report claims that the youngster is training with Salzburg but is playing for his new club too.

Adeyemi has also played for RB Salzburg in the UEFA Youth League and Barcelona academy director Patrick Kluivert is a fan of the youngster (h/t Express).

It will be interesting to see where Adeyemi could end up in the coming transfer windows though.

The youngster is the next big German talent, it seems, and his next move will have a huge role to play in his development.

Sticking with Salzburg might give him a better chance of playing first-team football. However, Jurgen Klopp has handed chances to youngsters in the past and joining the German wouldn’t be a bad option too.

Adeyemi has 11 goals and seven assists from 17 games in all competitions. The Reds lost a bright striker in Bobby Duncan to Fiorentina in the summer, and we haven’t really replaced him in the side.
