According to Liverpool Echo, Senegalese star Sadio Mane has issued a rallying cry to his teammates to steady the ship following recent setbacks to prove that they are ‘great champions’.
The Reds have endured a torrid time since the winter break and have won just one of the four matches since. The Reds lost more games over the last two weeks than they had in the previous six months of the season.
Liverpool still enjoy a 22-point lead over Manchester City and are well placed to end their league drought. The Reds need just 12 more points to guarantee the title and could cut that down to nine when they take on Bournemouth over the weekend.

The match against the Cherries also provides the Reds with the opportunity to get their rhythm back as they aim to overturn Atletico Madrid’s slender advantage in the UEFA Champions League second leg tie the following week.
Speaking of the loss to Chelsea, Mane admitted that the Blues were the better team on the night and rightfully came away with the spoils. He also brought notice to the fact that Liverpool had a number of chances in the first half but failed to take advantage of them.
Mane went on to add that the Reds had created enough opportunities to win the face, with their bad finishing proving to be the costly drawback.

The Senegalese star vowed to be ready for the Reds’ coming fixtures and added that he and his teammates will have to keep working hard to ensure their position as champions.
The 28-year-old has scored 17 goals and 11 assists in 36 appearances for Liverpool this season. The Reds will hope for a strong display from him in the weeks to come as Liverpool look to come out on top in both domestic and European football.
