Reliable journalist reveals what must happen for Liverpool to sign Bundesliga star

What must happen for Liverpool to sign Jadon Sancho

Liverpool have been linked consistently with Borussia Dortmund star Jadon Sancho. Reliable journalist Jan Aage Fjortoft has revealed what must happen in order for the Reds to sign the English wonderkid.

The former Premier League star, now a journalist, took to Twitter to reveal his thoughts on the matter. Fjortoft revealed that Sancho will cost Liverpool around €130m.

He confirmed that our arch-rivals Manchester United are working tirelessly to snare the player from our grasp. Although Anfield remains the most likely destination, the Reds will have to sell either Sadio Mane or Mohamed Salah to sign the 20-year-old.

Sancho is one of Europe’s most in-demand talents and has done his stock no harm this season. In 35 appearances, he has gone on to score 17 goals and assist 19 more.

With the season currently suspended, it remains to be seen how many he will end up with. In a new development, Fjortoft also revealed that Dortmund will look to make use of the break to keep the player for another season.

A mixed bag!

Liverpool’s vaunted front three have enjoyed a mixed season. The usually sublime trio has also conjured up performances bordering on the ridiculous as they have failed to hit previous season’s numbers.

The trio has contributed to an impressive 245 goals and 130 assists in its time at the club. Virtually unplayable at times, Liverpool have counted on their attack to bail them out in the past.

Liverpool’s front three are amongst the best in Europe

Although the additions of Virgil van Dijk and Alisson Becker have reduced the Reds’ dependence on the trio, they form an integral part of our ability to win games.

The ideal scenario would be to add Sancho without having to sell any of our attackers. It would ensure we can rotate when needed without having to compromise on the quality.

Whether Sancho ends up at Liverpool or not and at what cost remains to be seen. The Reds could return to action on May 2 when they take on Arsenal at the Emirates. The Reds need just six more points to guarantee the Premier League title.
