“We are always hungry” – Liverpool star reveals the mentality of the Reds squad

Dejan Lovren believes Liverpool can create a dynasty

According to the club’s official site, Dejan Lovren has backed Liverpool to build a dynasty under the guidance of manager Jurgen Klopp.

The Reds have been incredibly hard to beat of late and are also the defending European champions. Although we will not be able to successfully retain our crown, we are on course to ending our 30-year wait for the league title.

A lesser team could have fallen apart after coming so close to it last season, but not Liverpool. Under the guidance of Klopp, the Reds are a strong side both physically and mentally.

With us currently 25 points ahead of Manchester City, the league is as good as done. This has led to Lovren claiming that this is just the start of more to come.

He has credited the manager for his immaculate leadership that keeps his players hungry for more success. Lovren expects the Reds to keep winning and establish their own dynasty in the coming years.

One of Liverpool’s longest-serving players on the current roster, the Croatian has been at the club throughout Klopp’s tenure. He has likened success under the German to having a delicious meal one you can never get tired of.

“Once you try a good meal, you want to try it again – you don’t stop. This is what is pushing us. We want to show to everyone what we are capable of.”

Lovren believes Liverpool have the right mix of youth and experience

Lovren believes Liverpool have built an excellent squad with the right blend of youth and experience. He believes that the Reds have a strong core that can be counted on to deliver irrespective of the situation.

“If we keep the important players and the core of the team here for many years, we will only grow.”

Lovren has also called upon all fans to stay home and stay safe during the coronavirus shutdown. He admits it’s is not an easy situation to be in but has urged people to do what is necessary to keep themselves and their loved ones safe.

He has also called for people to appreciate the efforts of the NHS as they continue to battle the outbreak on the frontlines.
