Speaking to Stats Perform News (h/t Express), Tony Pulis believes Liverpool target Adama Traore will stay put at Wolverhampton Wanderers.
The 24-year-old is a product of Barcelona’s famed La Masia academy. He has been one of Wolves’ most dangerous players this season. After years of showing promise and potential, the winger has exploded onto the scene this season.
This has seen him linked to a number of clubs, Liverpool amongst them. Pulis has backed Traore to remain with Wolves and focus on his main goal of getting an international call-up.
“His next step, I speak to him now and then, his next step is to get a place in the Spanish side”
Although he has represented Spain at the youth level, He is yet to win a senior cap. He was called up for the Euro 2020 qualifiers against Malta and Romania last year. Unfortunately, he was forced to withdraw due to injury.
Traore has produced a healthy return of 6 goals and 1o assists in 43 matches
in all competitions so far in the current campaign.A powerhouse of a player, his physical prowess makes him a hard man to mark. He showed he has the capability to torment the very best as he led Wolves to a double against defending champions Manchester City.
He will add more directness to our attack that is already the best in the world. Traore, however, will not come cheap. Having seen Liverpool’s stance on Timo Werner
, it is difficult to see us break the bank for the Wolves star.Traore is also eligible to represent Mali at the international level. He had earlier this year revealed that he is yet to decide his international affiliation. (h/t BBC)
