Liverpool captain Jordan Henderson back in training ahead of 2020/21 term

Liverpool players looked sharp in training as they gear up to begin the defence of their Premier League title this weekend.

The champions will kickstart the campaign with a huge game against newly-promoted outfit Leeds United. The Whites will pose a difficult challenge after having won the EFL Championship to return to the top flight after a period of 16 years.

Liverpool had a decent pre-season campaign in Austria. And even though the club lost the Community Shield clash against Arsenal, the 7-2 thrashing of Blackpool in our last friendly has set the perfect tone.

And ahead of the ‘Clash of Champions’ at Anfield, Liverpool players have been going through the training with full steam.

The big news coming out of the session was the return of captain Jordan Henderson to full training. The Englishman hadn’t featured since the end of the last season and wasn’t involved in any of our pre-season friendlies either.

But, with the Leeds fixture looming, the skipper has stepped up his efforts to make himself available for the season opener. He was seen taking part alongside his teammates in the images released by the club. And here is a collection of the pictures from the Reds’ training session on Tuesday.
