“League is not ready”, “maaaaaad”- Some Liverpool fans react as Reds on the verge of signing world-class midfielder

Liverpool fans go berserk as Thiago Alcantara deal nears completion

As confirmed by The Athletic, Liverpool are on the verge of signing Bayern Munich star Thiago Alcantara.

The 29-year-old played a key role as the Bundesliga giants lifted their sixth European Cup last season. He will add a new dimension to what is arguably the Reds’ weakest area of the team.

Jurgen Klopp’s side has lacked a midfield playmaker since the departure of Philippe Coutinho in 2018. The prospect of Thiago pulling the strings behind our vaunted front three is an exhilarating prospect.

Liverpool are on the verge of signing Thiago Alcantara

While the club’s interest has been known for some time now, negotiations picked up pace since Monday. The deal will cost around €30 million

with the Spaniard currently in the last year of his contract.

Although terms are yet to be finalised, it is a matter of when and not if. The Spaniard is the club’s marquee signing of the summer so far and could prove to be a game-changer in our effort to retain the title.

Exciting times lie ahead. We take a look at how Liverpool fans reacted to the ns below.
