Liverpool dominate as the nominees for The Best FIFA Football Awards 2020 are revealed

FIFA released the nominees for The Best FIFA Football Awards 2020 on 25th November, and Liverpool have featured heavily on the list.

‘The Best FIFA Football Awards’ is handed out by FIFA annually since 2016 to the best performing players and coaches in the world, and is considered one of the highest awards in football alongside the Ballon d’Or.

The Ballon d’Or was canceled this year by France Football due to the football season being disrupted by the Covid-19 pandemic. In its absence, The Best FIFA Football Awards has assumed heightened importance this year.

4 Liverpool players feature on the list of The Best FIFA Men’s Player after a historic Premier League season. Thiago Alacantara won the UEFA Champions League with Bayern Munich last season but joined the Reds this summer.
