According to Eurosport, Liverpool will have to play their home leg of the RB Leipzig game at the Puskas Arena in Hungary. The first leg which was supposed to be Leipzig’s home leg was also played at the same venue.
All this has been due to the travel restrictions placed on travel to and from England due to a variant of Coronavirus. If Leipzig had travelled to England for the game, they would have had to quarantine on return in Germany. However, that is not possible given the Bundesliga is in full swing and they cannot afford to miss out on games due to player quarantine.
Due to that reason, the clubs and UEFA acted fast to host the games at a neutral venue in Budapest. While the venue change has not been confirmed by either club, the Hungarian FA have released a statement on the same.
Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp spoke about how great the Puskas Arena was after the first leg. He said that it somewhat resembled the Wanda Metropolitano which is Atletico Madrid’s home ground.
“Brilliant, really brilliant. It’s a great stadium. Inside it looks a little bit like Atletico Madrid’s stadium, which felt good to us to be honest! The pitch was great, it’s a proper football stadium, and I’m pretty sure if it’s sold out in the future it will create some proper atmosphere.”

Liverpool have a 2-0 advantage going into the second leg on March 10. Goals from Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane gave them the victory as well as two vital away goals. While it may seem like job done for the Reds, they will have to be wary of any possible comebacks and avoid elimination like last season.
