Liverpool target Jadon Sancho opens up on friendship with Jordan Henderson

Speaking on England’s feature, The Diary Room (h/t Express), Borussia Dortmund winger Jadon Sancho, who is a transfer target for Liverpool, has opened up on his relationship with Jordan Henderson.

Sancho has grown into one of the most promising young wingers in the game since leaving Manchester City for Dortmund in 2017. A mainstay for the club as well as the England national team, the 21-year-old has been heavily linked with a return to his homeland this summer.

Indeed, there has been strong interest from Manchester United as well as Liverpool in acquiring the services of Sancho. And, the Reds may have received a boost in their pursuit as the winger has revealed that he enjoys a great relationship with their captain, Jordan Henderson. (h/t Express)

“It’s always a pleasure getting called up for the England squad and linking up with some of my other teammates. Honestly, [on Henderson] he is one of the older lads, so I’m one of the younger ones but we get on really well.

“Me and him always have competition on and off the pitch. It’s constantly like who is better, who’s faster. It’s a full-time competition on and off the pitch.”

So, it might seem like Jurgen Klopp may have a secret weapon that he can unleash in case Liverpool want to push for Sancho’s transfer in the summer.

A superstar in the making, with his best years in front of him, Sancho would be a great signing for Liverpool. More so, considering that Sadio Mane had a rough season last time out and adding someone like the England international would add more quality and competition in attack.

The report, however, states, that a move for Sancho might be unlikely unless either of Mane or Mohamed Salah decides to leave, which is a distant possibility.
