According to Sky Germany (h/t Liverpool Echo), German champions Bayern Munich have demanded a transfer fee of at least €100m for Liverpool target Kingsley Coman
.Coman has been with Bayern Munich since 2015, having initially joined on a two-year loan deal from Serie A champions Juventus. The Frenchman was signed permanently in 2017.
Coman has had to toil for game-time during large parts of his time at the Allianz Arena, owing to fitness issues as well as the presence of former superstars Arjen Robben and Franck Ribery in the past.
However, in the season gone by, the 25-year-old grew into a prominent role, bagging 8 goals and 15 assists in 39 games in all competitions. (h/t Transfermarkt)
As reported by Spanish outlet Fichajes (h/t Daily Star) recently Coman is said to be unhappy at Bayern Munich, with Liverpool ready to offer him a way out. However, as per the aforementioned report, the record champions of Germany are yet to receive any offers for the Frenchman from Liverpool or any other club, with contract talks having come to a standstill.
It has been claimed that Die Roten will want an offer in the range of €100m-€120m at least, in order for them to consider selling Coman this summer, which is a huge rise from the previously reported £42m valuation.
It would be hard to imagine that Liverpool would be willing to throw that amount of money on a player this summer, especially with multiple positions needing to be strengthened. But it cannot be denied that signing someone like Coman would elevate the Reds’ attack.
His arrival would also add more quality and depth in the final third, which will surely come in handy when Mo Salah and Sadio Mane leave for the AFCON.
