“No brainers”- Jurgen Klopp gives his verdict on Liverpool’s win over Aston Villa 

Jurgen Klopp believes Liverpool were dominant in their narrow 1-0 win over Aston Villa

According to Sky Sports, Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp believes his side gave an outstanding brand of football in their 1-0 win against Aston Villa. 

The Reds endured a difficult game against Steven Gerrard’s plucky Villians. A rather incompetent performance by the referee did little to calm matters. Thankfully Klopp’s men found a way, something they are becoming adept at.

Star attacker Mohamed Salah made the difference and handed the crucial three points to the Reds. It was his 14th goal of the season and is threatening to pull away in the race for the Premier League golden boot.

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp however, believes that it was a team performance, and the Reds dominated the game in every aspect. 

“For 75 minutes, we played an outstanding football. Clear better side, played in all the areas we had to play, came through, pass through, created moments, not no-brainers.”

However, there was a time when the Merseyside team’s players suffered a specific setback for changing their play. The German manager pointed out

“They changed a little bit, but we changed too much, we lost the rhythm, and that’s the problem in football; if you lose rhythm, it’s difficult to get it back, so you better hold it from the beginning.”

When asked about Salah’s penalty, the former Dortmund manager agreed that he was the right man for the job.
