Liverpool are keen on signing Real Madrid star Vinícius Júnior

According to Defensa Central (h/t Liverpool Echo), Liverpool are eying a move for Real Madrid forward Vinícius Júnior

The Brazilian has have been the talk of the town at La Liga this season. Even though the youngster showed convincing performances in the previous seasons, his qualities were continuously termed as promising and not par with other top La Liga veterans.

However, this season he has been on scintillating form. After registering 12 goals and nine assists in 23 games

The Brazilian forward’s incredible goal-scoring qualities has brought him to Liverpool’s radar. It is believed that Jurgen Klopp’s sees him as a long-term alternative for Sadio Mane and wants to sign him in the following summer transfer window. 

Even though Mane hasn’t matched his teammate Mohamed Salah’s performances, the Senegalese forward still ranks higher on the Premier League top performers chart this season. The 29-year-old has scored seven goals and provided one assist in 17 matches this season. 

The trio of Salah-Mane-Firmino had a massive impact on Liverpool history, and they still are top of their game. However, these superstars aren’t getting any younger. 

Mane is currently 29-year-old. His experience and skills are helping him to beat top-class Premier League defenders. However, there would be a time when he will be falling short of younger defenders in the race to chase the ball down. 

On the other hand, with growing age comes a higher possibility of getting worn out and suffering injuries. The German manager is using his preferred African duo in most of the Premier League matches. But, looking at the long term future of the club, the Reds board should attract young talents who can help continue their recent streak of success..
