Liverpool identify five potential replacements for Sadio Mane

Transfer News: Liverpool earmark five potential replacements for Bayern Munich target Sadio Mane this summer

According to The Daily Mail (h/t The Express), Premier League giants Liverpool have identified five potential replacements for Sadio Mane ahead of the summer transfer window.

The 30-year-old winger has been one of the cornerstones of the Jurgen Klopp era at Anfield. After six brilliant years in red, he appears to be ready for a new challenge and has been linked with a summer switch to Bayern Munich.

Mane’s departure will leave a huge void in the Reds frontline that will be difficult to replicate. Regardless, Liverpool will have to move on and are already in the process of scouring for a replacement.

Klopp and co are set on bringing in a new player before sanctioning Mane’s exit. One of the names in the fray is that of Bayern star Serge Gnabry. The German international possesses pace and power and is in the prime of his career. Whether a swap deal involving both players is something that can be considered remains to be seen.

Chelsea’s Christian Pulisic and Villarreal’s Arnaut Danjuma are two other names mentioned. Both players are young enough and have the necessary potential to become long term solutions for us. Landing either could very well compensate for the potential loss of a powerhouse such as Mane.

Liverpool are one of the best teams out there in terms of recruitment and have in recent times scoured relegated sides for gems. Andy Robertson and Georginio Wijnaldum have both played big roles in the Reds’ success while Xherdan Shaqiri was a dependable squad player.

Watford pair Ismaila Sarr and Joao Pedro are also being considered. Neither are at the level of Mane yet but have potential in loads. Whether the Reds are keen on a readymade replacement or a long term project remains to be seen.

Mane has been a loyal player for the Reds and will leave the club a bonafide legend. We wish him nothing but the best and hopefully, we too will move on and bring in the right player to continue our dominance.
