Liverpool could sign wantaway Dutch star for £34m after failing last summer

Transfer News: Liverpool could sign wantaway Villarreal winger for £34m

According to transfer news on El Periódico Mediterráneo (h/t Liverpool Echo

), Liverpool could sign Villarreal winger Arnaut Danjuma if they make an offer in the region of £34million.

The Dutchman has been linked with a move to the Reds ever since last summer, when he joined the La Liga side from Bournemouth. The Cherries received £21million

in transfer fees at that time and it is now claimed that Danjuma is open to a move away from the Ceramica already.

But it seems as if his valuation has gone up after a solid season in Spain. He has been a crucial part of Unai Emery’s attack and has attracted interest from PSG, Manchester United, Arsenal, as well as LFC.

The Red Devils only recently signed Jadon Sancho last year and also have Amad Diallo returning from his loan spell at Rangers. PSG, meanwhile, have no shortage of world-class attackers.

Can Danjuma be a hit at LFC?

However, Liverpool could lose two of their best attackers by next summer. Sadio Mane is closing in on a summer move to Bayern Munich while Mohamed Salah is yet to renew his contract that expires next year.

Amidst this, Danjuma could be a wise signing. The Dutch winger is obviously ambitious and Liverpool are one of the best football clubs in the world right now.

At 25, he is in the prime physical years of his career and would have seen Mane and Salah reach unfathomable heights since their moves to Anfield in the past few years or so.

Could Danjuma replicate that if he comes to LFC? That is something only time can tell. Salah was 25 when he joined the Reds while Mane was 24 when he sealed his move to Liverpool from Southampton.

Jurgen Klopp can use a dynamic winger like Danjuma, who is a creative force for this Villarreal team down the flanks. But if Villarreal let him leave after just one year in La Liga is something that remains to be seen.
