Italian expert Fabrizio Romano claims that Liverpool star Sadio Mane has entered into ‘full agreement’ regarding personal terms with Bayern Munich.
The Senegalese winger, now 30, has been linked with a move to the Bundesliga champions for the last few weeks. And the move now seems to be coming to a conclusion.
The winger, who played as a centre-forward for the Reds in Roberto Firmino’s absence towards the tail end of this season, has apparently struck a personal agreement with the Bavarians.
LFC and Bayern, however, are yet to come to an arrangement over a fee. The German club is, however, expected to submit a fresh bid in order to seal the deal.
Not really if we see the situation around the deal. Mane has just one year left on his contract and clearly wants a move away from the club.
It is better to lose him for a bumper fee rather than free next summer. Of course, some Liverpool fans would even go on to tell you that they would have wanted a nine-figure sum for a player like him.
But in the real world, the £42.5million valuation that Liverpool are holding out for him is pretty realistic for a top attacker who is into his 30s and into the last year of his deal. In that sense, LFC are perhaps doing a good job.
They have already sealed the signing of Fabio Carvalho and Darwin Nunez. There is no point in wondering what could have happened with Sadio.
He stayed here for six years, won the biggest trophies with Liverpool during that time, and is perhaps seeking a new challenge in Germany. It is time to look at what the future holds for us with the Uruguayan international, Nunez.
