Kostas Tsimikas has shocked Liverpool fans with a new look hairstyle after the defender posted a couple of photos on his Instagram handle.

The Greece international is seen sporting a braided hairstyle in a photo he posted on Instagram, as well as in a story he uploaded on the same handle.

Screenshots of both photos can be seen below. Another Liverpool star who has sported braids is Trent Alexander-Arnold, one of the best full-backs in the world.

Perhaps Kostas thinks that the magic is in the hairstyle! He has already proved his worth this season and at times, looked at par if not better than Andrew Robertson down the left flank.

Big season ahead

The full-back who signed from Olympiacos for a fee similar to Robbo’s is currently on vacation. He had a great season with the Reds and is recharging his batteries ahead of the pre-season that begins in July.

Fans were, of course, left a bit surprised when they spotted Tsimikas with this cut. This wasn’t a hairstyle they expected the 26-year-old to be rocking.

The Greek Scouser, as he is fondly referred to by fans, is one of the fav favourites at Anfield. It was his spot-kick that won us the FA Cup against Chelsea and perhaps that moment will spur him on to achieve greater things with us.

Hopefully, they come with Tsimikas sporting these braids. It’s certainly something that sticks him out from the rest- not that he needs to- given that he is a player that would walk into any Premier League team’s starting XI with his talent and ability.
