Transfer News: Liverpool are interested in Sheffield Unite starlet William Osula

According to The Star (h/t Liverpool.com), Liverpool are keeping a close tab on 18-year-old talented striker William Osula

Osula is a promising young player emerging from Sheffield. The 18-year-old made five Championship outings for the Blades and has proven to be a great find for them.

Now it is believed that Liverpool and Newcastle are tracking the talented striker’s progress. Even though there is a possibility that he would be loaned, it remains to be seen if the Blades will part with their talent on a permanent basis.

Osula has undeniable potential to reach significant heights, but the Premier League is much more competitive than the Championship, making it difficult to predict how well the young forward would fare there. He will need some time to adjust to the scenario because of the new surroundings and expectations.

However, the Reds currently have time. After signing a new contract, Mohamed Salah will remain with the team for at least three more years. Osula could be groomed to eventually take on a starring role in the Reds’ front three.

Osula, 18, can play centre forward, but the presence of Darwin Nunez and Diogo Jota will prove to be a hindrance to his chances of gaining regular football.

William Osula has huge potential.

The Danish player would be best served to stay on at Bramall Lane and continue his development. He can always move to a bigger club in the future.
