Liverpool boost as Hans-Joachim Watzke drops Jude Bellingham hint

Speaking in an interview with Bild as quoted by Liverpool Echo, Liverpool have received a huge boost in their pursuit of talented English midfielder Jude Bellingham after what Borussia Dortmund CEO Hans-Joachin Watzke has revealed about his future.

That Liverpool are interested in signing Bellingham is no longer a secret. The Reds are huge fans of the talented midfielder and are expected to be one of the front-runners in pursuing a deal for the player.

Bellingham is one of the hottest properties going around in world football right now and a case could be made for the teenage sensation being the biggest English talent there is as things stand.

With every single performance for Dortmund, Bellingham’s stocks only keep meteorically rising and his performances have been simply sensational for the German club this season, especially in the Champions League.

Already a Dortmund captain at such a young age, Bellingham shows the maturity that is never heard of at 19, and he has all the qualities required to be a genuine leader of a top team in the near future.

Speaking about his future, Watzke admitted that Dortmund cannot compete financially with the other teams trying for the Englishman.

“I think as soon as Qatar is over. We will have a general discussion about what he actually wants. He should just tell us whether he wants to stay or whether he wants to leave. In both cases, we will have a very pleasant and reasonable discussion with each other”

Liverpool are a team that are desperately craving for reinforcement in midfield. Their existing options are ageing and there seems to be a lack of energy and creativity in that area of the pitch, bar Thiago Alcantara.

Even the Spanish wizard is not young by any means but he still plays at a very top level and pairing him with Bellingham could just be the way to go forward for Jurgen Klopp. Bellingham is the archetype Liverpool midfielder.
