“Media topic”- Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp’s agent gives update on Germany national team rumours

Jurgen Klopp’s agent gives Liverpool update amid German National Team rumours

Following Germany’s elimination from the World Cup, the future of manager Hansi Flick hangs in the balance. Multiple rumours of Liverpool gaffer Jurgen Klopp taking over his country’s team started floating and this led to a section of Reds’ fans feeling nervy about his future.

However, the former Dortmund manager has a contract lasting until 2026 (Transfermarkt) with the Merseysiders. At this point, the fans cannot see beyond the German as the manager of the club as he is the nucleus of the success Liverpool have enjoyed in recent years.

Amidst all rumours, Sky Sports Germany’s Florian Plettenberg gave an update via Twitter (h/t Liverpool Echo) on Klopp’s situation quoting the German’s agent, Marc Kosicke who intended that Klopp will for sure fulfil his contract at the L4 and would not disappoint Liverpool fans.

“This is a media topic. Jurgen has a contract until 2026 and he intends to fulfil it.”

In any case, there were no major doubts about Klopp’s future with the club but assurance that the German will stay at the club comes well for the fans. Ever since his appointment, he has taken the club to heights no other manager has taken the club to, par Sir Bob Paisley.

The 55-year-old signed a new four-year extension earlier this year. And with Germany’s shock elimination, Flick’s job is now in the hangs. Speaking of the Reds though, Klopp will have a point to prove as the Reds seem to be struggling a bit in the league.

Liverpool’s form

Heading into the international break, Liverpool stood sixth in the points table with six wins, four wins and as many losses. Initially, the Reds seemed to have struggled a bit, but hopefully, after the international break, a full-strength side could push the Reds’ pursuit of a top-four finish.

If there is any manager in World Football to take the Reds out of this little mess they seem to be in, it is none other than Klopp, and hopefully, Liverpool get more than just a top-four finish at the end of the campaign.

More Liverpool News:

The next time Liverpool spring into competitive action will be on 26th December when the Reds take on Aston Villa in the league. However, the Reds will face AC Milan and Olympique Lyonnais in club friendlies later this month.
