According to Liverpool Echo, Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has offered support to Frank Lampard
after the latter was sacked by Everton.Lampard took over the reins at Everton last season when the team was in a relegation battle and survived it on the last day of the league.
It was expected that the Chelsea legend will kick off with his new side this season but that did not materialise, with Everton finding themselves in the same position as last season.
Currently 19th in the league, it was inevitable that Lampard would be shown the door after a lacklustre start to the campaign.
Klopp believes it is tough being in the manager’s hot seat but backs Lampard to make a comeback soon.
“That’s the business. Last year was not easy but he did well. Lost Richarlison and Calvert-Lewin not back, we know how injuries can impact the season in decisive positions. We in the job have to accept that. He’ll be back, he’s a young coach.”
It is true that the job of a manager is of high risk and high reward and if things go sideways, they are the ones which face the brunt of the criticism.
It is a harsh reality and especially with Premier League clubs that require every manager to get fast results or risk the sack.
Klopp, however, has established himself to a certain level which has culminated in the trust of the board and supporters and even if things go sideways, like in this season, there are not many questions asked about the manager.
We fully back Klopp to take us back to being one of the dominant forces in Europe as he was the man-in-charge who brought us there in the first place.
In his seven years in charge of the club, he has taken the club to new heights and hands down is the right man to lead us for the coming years.
Hopefully, the confusion surrounding the ownership is resolved before the summer transfer window and the board fully backs Klopp in the market to get some much-needed reinforcements.
