Liverpool need to fork out £110m to land in-demand English international

Liverpool discover the price for Jude Bellingham as Manchester United join the race

Liverpool FC has reportedly been informed of the asking price set by Borussia Dortmund for midfielder Jude Bellingham. The Telegraph has reported that Dortmund is demanding a fee of at least £110m for the young midfielder this summer. With such a high price tag, Liverpool would have to carefully reconsider all their options.

Despite the cost, Liverpool should do their best to secure Bellingham’s signature at Anfield. At just 19 years old, he has already shown immense potential and could be a valuable investment for the club’s future success.

The Reds would undoubtedly benefit from signing Jude, and he could be a necessary addition to the team rather than just a want. While the high price tag may make Liverpool think twice about pursuing him, the potential benefits cannot be ignored.

Jude to the Reds?

Moreover, the report also talked about Manchester United and their interest in the former Birmingham City man. With them also reportedly interested in Bellingham, Liverpool may have to compete with their rivals for the midfielder’s signature. The competition could drive up the price even further, making it an even tougher decision for Liverpool to make.

Bellingham could be a valuable addition to Liverpool’s midfield, which has been lacking in depth and quality at times this season. His versatility and energy would be a welcome addition to the team, and his potential for growth and development is immense.

At his young age, he has a long career ahead of him, and Liverpool could benefit greatly from investing in his future. The competition from Manchester United only adds to the urgency of the situation, and Liverpool must act quickly if they want to secure the midfielder’s services.

While Bellingham has shown immense potential at a young age, the high cost of his transfer may make Liverpool think twice about pursuing him. But there are absolutely no doubts that the player is a guaranteed starter at the club and would help the team get better.

His contract at Dortmund expires in 2025 (Transfermarkt).

With Liverpool out of every other competition apart from the league, their sole focus should now obviously be on getting a top-four spot to enhance our chances of signing Jude in the summer, as UCL football could be a basic requirement for some players at his level.
