Liverpool see three back-to-back away games scheduled amidst Title battle

The scheduling authorities have handed Liverpool three back-to-back away games in April, with match timing that will annoy both fans and Jurgen Klopp.

The scheduling authorities have rescheduled two Premier League matches for Liverpool in a controversial time-slot, with the potential to further antagonize Jurgen Klopp. Klopp and Liverpool fans have already complained about the poor scheduling that worked in favour of the team’s rivals before.

The non-stop congested fixture period played a big part in the Reds’ loss to Manchester United in the FA Cup. Liverpool players barely managed to move in the last 15 minutes of the extra time when United scored two goals.

The Reds played 3 games per week since playing Brentford on 17th February until the March International break commenced. Liverpool are suffering from a severe injury crisis, testing the depth of their squad and the quality of their academy.

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has criticized the schedule-makers for constantly putting the club in the early kick-off slots.

Liverpoolfc.com announced the rescheduling of two Premier League matches with a date confirmation for the Merseyside derby. The updated fixture will force the Reds to play three back-to-back away games during the intense title race.

Everton vs Liverpool is an 8 pm kickoff on Wednesday, April 24, while the Reds play West Ham United away in Saturday’s early kickoff at 12:30 pm. The baffling kickoff slot is yet another early game that the Reds have received despite being vocal about its unfairness.

The Mirror reported that Liverpool played their 14th early kickoff against Manchester City on November 25th since Klopp took charge. Tottenham received the second-highest games with only six early kick-offs during that period.

The Reds have suffered badly due to poor officiating in the Premier League as well, missing out on crucial points. Liverpool recently dropped two more points in the top-of-the-table clash against Manchester City at home.

Referee Michael Oliver refused to give a blatant penalty in the final minute when Jeremy Doku high-booted Alexis Mac Allister. Liverpool have also failed to win clear penalties in three separate handball decisions during the games where they dropped points.

Furthermore, the away game against Tottenham Hotspur that Liverpool lost after facing two controversial red cards and the cancellation of a legitimate goal is one of the most humiliating games for match officials.

Klopp is stepping back from the managerial role at the end of the season due to the feeling of burnout. It is easy to deduce that such decision-making from the Premier League has played a big role in his stress.
