Jurgen Klopp is known to be a manager who believes in nurturing raw talent and hand-picking them when they are at a very young age. The latest youngster in the radar of Klopp is the 18 year old Toni Lato from Valencia FC. According to reports by Deportivo Valenciano, Klopp has contacted the Spanish club for the availability of the left-back.

Who is Toni Lato?

Toni Lato made his senior team club debut with Valencia FC in 2014 in a home game and came in as a substitute. He then went on to play for the B team of the club and impressed everyone with his performances. Lato again featured in a Europa league encounter with the first team and his side went on to win that match by a thumping margin of 4-0. The young talent has managed to get the eye balls of many European clubs and has been approached a lot lately. Liverpool being the latest club to sneak a peek into the prodigy.

How does he fit in at Liverpool?

The Reds are dire need of a left back with injury woes troubling Joe Gomez and the departure of Brad Smith. Toni Lato might not be the first team regular, but the youngster can certainly be a part of Klopp’s future plans and a move to Anfield might get him a few games with a big club in the biggest league. Klopp is known to nurture players and often converts raw talent into quality players.
