Liverpool eased on to another victory this weekend, as they thrashed Walter Mazzarri’s Watford side with a thumping scoreline of six goals to one. As soon as the game kicked off, it was Liverpool who were crashing into the Watford’s defence and the Hornets somehow managed to stop Liverpool’s forays for the first half an hour of the game and soon after that, Liverpool bagged a goal through Sadio Mane’s finish.

Just three minutes into the first goal, Liverpool doubled their advantage through Coutinho.

The reds were leading 3-0 at half time and they had no plans for stopping it there. They obviously wanted more and a goal from Firmino, Mane (his second in the game) and Wijnaldum continued their winning run to nine games in the Premier League.

The Merseysiders are in a form of their life and a win against the Hornet means they are on the top of the table. It is fair to say that they are cruising and are working as a unit. Hard to choose best three photographs that sum up Liverpool’s performance against the Hornet but here is an honest attempt:

A selection headache for Klopp:

Midfielder Emre Can was on the scoresheet in the game and that means he has scored in consecutive league appearances for the first time in his career. While the German was out nursing his injury, the manager decided to go with Gini Wijnaldum and even though the Dutch struggled initially to his new role, he became a mainstay for Liverpool’s midfield three.

With Emre Can back fit and back in form and Wijnaldum too is ready to challenge for the spot, the manager will be having a severe headache while choosing one amongst these two. But these goals will help him convincing the manager to use him more often.

Still no solution for defensive woes:

This may not seem a big problem for the side, as they are scoring goals for fun and that may overcome their goal difference, but nothing is certain in the Premier League and you never know what may hit you right away. The Merseysiders have only kept one clean sheet in the Premier League and this could well haunt them as a ‘Butterfly Effect’.

Liverpool a family; Klopp a grand master:

Talking some stats first:

Adam Lallana is the only player to have assisted twice in a Premier League game on more than one occasion this season.

Liverpool recorded more shots on target against Watford than any other team has managed in a PL match since Opta records began (2003-04).

Liverpool finished their day top of the Premier League table for the first time since May, 6th 2014.

Roberto Firmino has scored five times in his last seven Premier League games.

Philippe Coutinho has had a hand in eight goals in his last seven PL appearances for Liverpool (three goals, five assists).

The list will go on and on, as there is no stopping them now. Jurgen Klopp has totally rejuvenated the Reds and that is truly visible in their performance. The Reds are more determined and plays every game as if it is a Champions League final and only Jurgen Klopp is the reason for this immense change. The Merseysiders are more of a family for their fans and Klopp has achieved a certain stature amongst them.

The day is not far when we will see Klopp’s statue outside Anfield. Brace yourself Merseysiders, Klopp is on a hunt.
