After Liverpool finished in the top-four last season, the fans expected a busy transfer window for Jurgen Klopp’s side, with the prospect of playing in the UEFA Champions League. And to a certain extent, it has been, considering that we have already snapped up the signatures of Dominic Solanke from Chelsea and Mohamed Salah from AS Roma.

As was thought, many fringe players who are not part of the plans for the manager will be shown the exit doors  by the club in the summer.

One such player is Lazar Markovic. The Serbian winger arrived with great promise from Portuguese outfit SL Benfica in the summer of 2014, in a deal worth £20million. However, things have gone hardly according to plans for the 23-year old.

After loan spells in England and abroad, it is looking increasingly likely that Markovic will be sold in the summer with fellow Premier League outfit Watford being the touted destination, according to The Mirror.

The report also claims that Liverpool are willing to take an £8million loss on the player, with the club set to demand just £12million from the Hornets for Markovic.

With the transfer almost certain to take place, the Reds fans took Twitter to express their disappointment in the way Markovic’s career had failed to progress as anticipated and here we put together some of the best reactions on Twitter from the Kop
