Liverpool Fans Lose The Plot After New Signing’s Performance: ‘Solanke out here outperforming Lukaku’

Liverpool started their Premier League Asia Trophy campaign with a 2-0 win over Crystal Palace. Jurgen Klopp fielded a pretty strong side to face the Eagles. However, it took until the second half for the scoring to start.

Dominic Solanke got the ball rolling with a fine finish from the edge of the box and the second was scored by Divock Origi after a bit of a scrap in the Palace goal.

While Philippe Coutinho and Mohamed Salah showed glimpses of class and quality, this certainly was a pre-season friendly and the most important aspect of this tie was to gain match fitness. There was one player however, that took the plaudits and that has to be Solanke for his predatory goal.

The young Englishman might have joined us on the cheap; his fee is yet to be finalised by a tribunal. But it seems like he isn’t here just to make the numbers, and formed a pretty decent partnership up top with Origi.

His goal displayed his smart and quick movement, and also showed that he knows just where the goal is. Solanke might have only played the second half of the game but he certainly got a lot of fans excited and here are some of the best Twitter reactions for the former Chelsea striker’s performance.
