Boost for Liverpool as star signing returns to training after missing pre-season games

Liverpool have been handed a boost ahead of their clash against Napoli in Dublin as Naby Keita returned to training, according to the Liverpool Echo.

While the Reds finished off their American tour with wins over Manchester City and Manchester United, Keita did not play part in those two games.

The former RB Leipzig midfielder was nursing a sore neck from a long flight but now seems ready to face the Serie A team.

The Guinea midfielder will be one of our main players in the upcoming season as he should line up at the tip of the midfield. Keita certainly has impressed in the pre-season games that he has played and the Liverpool supporters will expect fireworks from him when the season begins.

There was more good news for us as Loris Karius

returned to training too. The German keeper had been dealing with a knee injury but he took part in training with Alisson and our academy keepers.

Roberto Firmino and Trent Alexander-Arnold also returned to the side after their holidays. The pair trained with the main squad and is expected to play a part in the friendly against Napoli.

Liverpool have one more pre-season fixture against Torino before facing West Ham on the opening day.

With all the preparations done, we should be in great shape to not only take on Manuel Pellegrini’s men but also start the campaign with three points.
