Former Liverpool star expects Reds new signing to create and score goals this season

Former Liverpool star Jamie Redknapp is excited about what Naby Keita

will bring to the club as the Englishman claims our new signing could be an important player this season.

Keita joined us officially at the start of July but we had signed a deal with the Bundesliga club a year ago.

Redknapp was speaking to the Daily Mail (h/t Daily Star) where he claimed that the Guinea midfielder is an “all-action” hero in the centre of the park.

The Englishman added:

“Keita has a great touch, will make goals and score them.

“There is also devilment in his play and that could get him in trouble. We saw that last season when he was sent off four times.”

Redknapp is also looking forward to the clash against Manchester United at Anfield in December. The former midfielder believes that the Red Devils will use every trick in the book to get Keita sent off.

The former Liverpool star added that the 23-year-old Keita could help us unlock stubborn defences this season and said that Fabinho would provide guile to the team.

Keita scored 6 goals and provided 5 assists for RB Leipzig last season and he should look to put up similar numbers for the Reds this season.

The first game of the season is against West Ham United at Anfield and we could see Keita partnering Fabinho in the heart of the midfield as we aim for the Premier League title this campaign.
