“We need all of the players, that’s good” – Liverpool gaffer hints at debut for summer signing post international break

Jurgen Klopp has hinted that summer signing Fabinho could make his Liverpool debut after the international break.

The German manager was asked if there was anything wrong with Fabinho

and he was quoted by the Metro as saying:

“Nothing. The team is good and he needs time.

“He could have been in the squad, of course, but it’s quite difficult to make the squad at the moment because they are all fit.”

Klopp added that Fabinho had taken some “big steps” in the last few weeks and could play at “this moment”. The German alluded to Fabinho’s selection for the upcoming friendlies for Brazil and expected all the players to participate in a brutal schedule post the international break.

“Hopefully now Fabinho has games with Brazil, and then after he comes back we have games, games, games.

“We have the whole of September a lot of games, only against top teams. We need all of the players, that’s good.”

Liverpool have won all their games prior to the international break but the real test begins from 15th September, as we face Tottenham Hotspur away from home.

The Reds then take on Paris Saint-Germain, Chelsea, Napoli and Manchester City in less than a month and it will be important for us to utilize our squad depth during this period.

Fabinho will certainly be an important member of the side and giving him time to understand our playing style should pay off in the coming months.

There was no need to rush him into the XI and with the team doing well, it was logical not to make too many changes to a winning squad.
