Dutch youngsters Ki-Jana Hoever and Sepp van den Berg are set to sign new deals at Liverpool, according to the Times (h/t Liverpool Echo).
The pair have played in the Carabao Cup this season and impressed in our mini-run. Van den Berg only joined in the summer from PEC Zwolle and was the second youngster we added in the summer.
Harvey Elliott has also been great since joining from Fulham and performed well in the Carabao Cup win over Arsenal.
Hoever can play as a centre-back or right-back, and was part of the recent U17 World Cup for the Dutch team too.
The pair are two of brightest talents at Anfield, and it will be interesting to see how they perform for the rest of the season.
Van den Berg and Hoever have impressed this season but so have others in the Carabao Cup.
Curtis Jones, Rhian Brewster and Caoimhin Kelleher have also done well. The trio played in both our Carabao Cup games this season, and could feature in the coming weeks too.
Jurgen Klopp has trusted youth players in the past and hopefully, we see a few of them break into the first-team soon.
Hoever, Elliott and Brewster are the ones who seem closest to that milestone, but they still need more experience under their belts.
