Herbie Kane could be on his way to Scottish giants Rangers

Former Liverpool midfielder Danny Murphy expects Liverpool starlet Herbie Kane to make a loan move to Rangers this January. (h/t Express)

Speaking to Football Insider (h/t Express), the midfielder believes that the presence of manager Steven Gerrard and former Liverpool coaches Garry Mcallister and Michael Beale should provide the youngster with the right environment for his development.

Murphy continued to say that the familiarity with the coaching staff should help the player transition seamlessly into the Rangers fold.

“The McAllister-Gerrard-Beale connection is absolutely superb, it’s almost like being promoted from Liverpool U-21s to Rangers as it’ll be a set-up he’s very very familiar with.”

The youngster joined the Liverpool Academy in 2013 from Bristol Rovers. He made his full Liverpool debut in the Carabao Cup Quarterfinals against Aston Villa this season.

Kane spent the 2018-19 season on loan at League One side Doncaster Rovers where he scored 4 times in 38 appearances. (h/t Whoscored)
